Young Boatbuilder Raffles Canoe

High school senior Spencer Toth of Freeland, Michigan is nearing completion on a 16-foot cedar strip Chestnut Prospector canoe built with WEST SYSTEM® 105 Resin and 207 Special Clear Hardener. Detailed information about the canoe is here.

The 16' Chestnut Prospector is well underway and will be finished by the May 17th raffle drawing date.

Proceeds from the canoe raffle will be donated directly back into the Freeland High School Woodshop to fund new tools, supplies, etc.  Raffle tickets are just $5 each and can be purchased via Paypal at www.skeletonpath.com or at the Woodcraft Store of Saginaw, 2268 Tittabawassee Rd, Saginaw, Michigan. The drawing date is May 17, 2009 and the winner will be contacted by phone.

The winner will be responsible for transporting the canoe from Freeland, Michigan. Order your tickets today. (I bought two.)
